When hosting a single session seminar during a regular church hour,
some pastors find it helpful to make minor changes in the order of
service because of the special nature and length of the message. The
full message will require 50 minutes. If this your normal message
length you do not need to make changes from your usual format. If this
is longer than your usual message you may wish to consider the
following format when planning your service:
Congregational singing (One song-5 min)
Brief announcements (1 Min)
Prayer (2 Min)
"Redeeming the Time" message (50 Min)
Offering (2 Min)
We recommend this format if you do not wish the entire service to
exceed one hour.
WE'LL WORK WITH YOU!
While we strongly recommend the full message, if your format simply
will not allow for a full 50 minute message, we'll be glad to minister
within whatever time frame is available and no more. You can be
assured that if given a 30 minute block of time, we will not be
speaking 31 minutes later!
MUSIC
When traveling as a family, Mrs. Grubbs is available for piano playing
and the Grubbs children are available for special music.
Please let us know ahead of time if you would like the children to
sing. Also, please plan this outside of the 50 minutes needed for the
seminar. Their oldest daughter, Sunshine, may also be able to play the
harp during an offering.
INVITATION
Often an invitation is given at the close of the message. This is a
two-fold invitation both for the lost to accept Christ as Savior and
for Christians to commit their time to the Lord.
OFFERING
We request that offerings for our ministry be taken only after the
message has been presented.
MEETING CONFIRMATION
A letter confirming our meeting will be mailed to you approximately
one month prior to the meeting. This will include a seminar press kit
for promotion and planning. If you must cancel a meeting please give
at least six weeks notice since it is very difficult to reschedule on
short notice. |
