This summer, Sunshine will be fulfilling her mission internship requirements for about seven weeks. We're excited about the way the God is going to use her! Find out more details about her trip from her mission's directior, Steve Mowery. If you are interested in giving toward her trip, you can give through paypal on this page below or through her church on her mission director's page. Thanks!
My Mission: To those who have never heard…
Sunshine Grubbs: Sharing with a “closed access” people group this summer.

Dear Friends,
In Luke 10:2, Jesus tells us, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth laborers into his harvest.” Our world today is an immense harvest field. Statistics tell us that over 150,000 people worldwide die every day. By the time you have finished reading this letter, 107 people will have already passed into eternity. The heartbreaking part is 103 of those 107 will not have known Christ. They will never have had the chance to experience the joy, freedom, and peace found in having a relationship with Jesus. Christ tells us that the harvest is great, but He also commands us to “Go…and teach all nations.”
This summer God has opened the doors for me to be able to serve in two creative access countries. I am not free to mention the countries due to security. I will be working with Anglo missionaries to communicate Christ’s love through building relationships with women and children. These people are some of the most oppressed in the world. Fear dominates their religion which requires their good works to outweigh their bad or they will perish in hell. A torturous fear of death overshadows many of their lives. Also, a personal relationship with their god is unheard of, and he is viewed as someone to be feared. It is definitely not anything like the loving, caring Jehovah God we know.
These dear people are greatly in need of the Gospel, and I would deeply appreciate your prayers and support as I embark on this challenge to share the love of Jesus with these precious women and children. I may try my best, but without the Lord’s strength and your prayers, it will all be in vain. God bless as you partner with me in prayer.
In His service,
Sunshine Grubbs
