A study discovered 31% of employees end the year with unused vacation time. That might come as a surprise to those of us who really love our vacations. But there are those among us who equate vacation time with lack of commitment.
This is sometimes true of those in ministry. I know of one minister who boasted that he never took a vacation because the devil never takes a vacation. The problem with that thinking is that you arenít the devil and youíd better not fight the devil in your own strength or youíll lose.
The life of Jesus is our only example of perfect time management. And His life included times of rest and retreat from the crowds and their demands on his time. Taking a vacation gives us an opportunity to refresh, revive and renew so that we accomplish even more in the long run.
Remember, donít act like the devil. Take your vacation so youíll redeem the time.
