Sunday comes around every seven days. But someday is not a day of the week and never occurs.
When we say “I’ll get to it someday,” what we’re really saying is “This thing is not important enough for me to schedule a time to do it. But I would feel guilty if I said I was going to completely forget about doing it, so I’ll tell myself I’m going to do it someday.”
Many people even take this approach to salvation. They plan to get right with God someday. But God said in the Bible, “Behold now is the accepted time. Behold now is the day of salvation”
Whether its salvation, obeying the call of God to ministry or just changing the oil in the car, remember; one of these days really means none of these days. Making time now for the things that matter most is a vital part of redeeming the time.
